Android Nougat, the latest version of Android will be launched as early as August 5, a new leak hints. Serial tipster Evan Blass put out a tweet saying, “Android 7.0 releases next month, with the 8/5 security patch. Sorry Nexus 5 owners, no Nougat for you.”

Additionally, he mentions that Nexus 5 users will not get the update and the public release will come alongside the security patch release on Friday.
According to a report by Android Police, the new update will also come with an update to the camera app. The company is bringing back the manual exposure to Android. Even though there are plenty of third-party apps that do the same, it would be nice to have it integrated into the camera itself rather than having one of these apps occupying valuable MB’s of storage.
Users will be presented with a slider on the right side of the screen which controls the exposure, sliding it up adds more light and sliding it down will darken the image.
The app will reportedly offer three more Gridline options, apart from the 3×3 frame. Users will be able to choose 4×4, a Golden Ratio (Phi grid), and the Square Grid used mainly for social apps. Lastly, the final release will also bring about improvements such as multi-window support, enhanced notifications, revamped doze and number blocking.
