Without giving a date, Google said that Android users should expect the update in a few weeks from now.

Meanwhile, a new report has hinted towards a new launch date of the Android 12 update for Pixel phones.

Google will publish the source code for Android 12 on October 4, stated an internal document, which was found by XDR developers.

According to Google's recent history, the source code will be published on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) Gerrit and will most likely coincide with the release of the Android 12 update.

This comes after the source code for Android 9 pie was published on August 6, 2018, and the stable update was rolled out for the first two generations of Pixel. In the same way, the Android 10 stable update was rolled out for Pixel devices on the same date the source code was uploaded to AOSP.

Similarly, the Android 11 stable update was rolled out for Pixel users last year on September 8, the same day, its source code was uploaded to AOSP.

Thus, it is most likely that the Android 12 stable update will roll out for Pixel users on October 4. However, the date has not been confirmed officially.
