PC gaming's recent screwball entry, Goat Simulator, is now getting a free expansion this week that will add massively multiplayer online (MMO) support to the formerly single player title.

Developer Coffee Stain Studios say they the expansion will allow faction wars between goats and sheep and active questing. A not-so-subtle hint at MMO giant World of Warcraft? Possibly. Still outright ridiculous? Definitely. If you don't believe that, have a look at the classes you can assign to your goat. Warrior, Rogue, Magician, Hunter, and... Microwave Goat...

The expansion launches November 20 as a free downloadable content (DLC) patch via Steam, for those who own the original title. The expansion has been designed to run on Windows, Mac and Linux. If you don't own the original, now might be as godd a time as any; you can pick it up on Steam for US $9.99, and as paid apps on iOS and Android as well.
