Facebook’s new app ‘Riff’ lets users make their videos go viral
The app lets you record a video and tag your friends, allowing them to continue the video thread and keep sharing.
Facebook has introduced a standalone app called Riff that has been designed as an evolving mix of clips that revolve around a specific topic. The app is meant to work like a video version of the Facebook chat thread, where users can make additions and make it go viral.According to the Verge, when users create a Riff video for the first time, they can tag a friend and make it trend. The app is available on both iOS and Android mobile devices. It originated after last year's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge when people began posting videos of them upturning buckets of ice water on their heads in the name of charity.
