Ever since it sank on April 15, 1912, the Titanic has been a source of fascination.
The ship's remains have been explored in countless missions. Now, anyone curious can go to www.expeditiontitanic.com for their own exploration at 3,280m below sea level. Along with information and history, the site contains pictures and video.
The dive is depicted thanks to a complicated Flash function, which is not kind to computers with slow internet connections. All texts are in English. If none of that is a problem, then there's not only a historical, but a diving, adventure beckoning.
There's also a lot of information about the ships used to dive down to the Titanic. Life on board the ill-fated liner and the fate of the passengers is also covered.
Movie buffs might run into a contradiction or two with the movie. For example, the famous scene with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on the bow of the ship could never have happened: that part of the ship was off-limits to passengers.
