It was Apple's extravagant launch moment and everyone had been expecting iPhone 6 and couple of other gadgets from Apple's bastion. But trust Samsung to try and steal Apple's thunder.

While Apple was launching its products — iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, Watch (amazing features) and ApplePay, a new paid trend was witnessed on Twitter. Samsung promoted its 'Samsung Galaxy note 4* on twitter to beat Apple's hashtag 'Apple Live' from attaining the top spot. 

While some may say this to be 'frivolous', both the companies are arch rivals. Also, reports have suggested that Samsung may face stiff competition from Apple in India after this grand event and slew of products entering the market. Debates aside, the Apple event was humungous and a grand success. Even Apple CEO, Tim Cook used the new iPhone 6 and tweeted.

Whatever the reason, Samsung did manage to top the charts on Twitter in India but Apple's event has been an astounding success. From Tweets, posts, trends to long queues for these new gandgets, the story is endless. 

So, its round 2 for Apple versus Samsung now! Meanwhile, how Apple product launch impacts India is still yet to be ascertained. Though, earlier evidence suggests hardly any change in the way Apple products enter much later in India.
