Japan-based Seven Dreamers has been reportedly working on this robot for 10 years. The company has a deal to potentially start including the robot with Panasonic washers and dryers in 2018, and may build it into new homes in Japan by 2020.

To have the machine fold your clothes, toss them into the drawer at the bottom. CNET explains that the device uses its built-in AI and image analysis to distinguish between t-shirts, dresses and undergarments. The Laundroid takes about 3-10 minutes to fold one piece of laundry at the moment. It also features support for Android and iPhone app for remote access to the bot. Of course, they aren’t as perfectly folded as a human would but, at the end of day, it’s a machine! Not details regarding price have been mentioned.
