A couple of weeks ago, after failing to launch the BlackBerry Messenger application on Android and iOS platforms, BlackBerry has resumed the closed beta testing of the application on Android again.

According to reports BlackBerry blamed the botched release of BBM for Android and iPhone on an unreleased version of the Android app that was very likely a beta version that was leaked.

Also BlackBerry hasn't yet announced fresh dates for re-release of the BBM for iPhone and Android.

BlackBerry has reportedly unveiled a 4.7 billion dollar deal, set to be acquired by billionaire Prem Watsa’s Fairfax Financial, who is touted to be Canada’s 'Warren Buffet'. The preliminary deal is subject to a six-week period of due diligence, which is expected to be completed by November 4.
