BlackBerry has reportedly cancelled two new phones, dubbed Café and Kopi, prior to their release in the market.

The sinking smartphone manufacturer had to cancel the new products fearing poor sales as it recorded sale of just 1.9 million smartphones last quarter, down from 3.7 million a year ago.

BlackBerry’s third-quarter earnings report stated the company’s decision to cancel plans of launching the two devices to mitigate the identified inventory risk, Cnet reports.

The company recently recorded a third-quarter loss of 4.4 billion dollars as it continued to struggle in the market dominated by Apple and Samsung.
