In some bad news for PUBG fanatics, you will have to wait some more for the re-launch of the game in India. It was expected that PUBG Mobile will make a comeback in India by December 2020 or January 2021, but as it turns out, users might have to wait a little longer.

Krafton- the South Korean company behind the launch of the game in India - has no substantial news about the official rollout of the popular Battle Royale game.

According to a report by Sportskeeda, Indian gamers will not be able to pre-register for PUBG New State.

Kraft is waiting for a go-ahead from the Indian governments to relaunch PUBG mobile but it is not clear as to how long it will take for any confirmation. It is also to be seen whether the Indian government will allow the game to launch at all.

With Krafton doing everything it can to prepare for the launch of a new PUBG app specifically developed and serviced for India, it has decided not to include pre-registration for PUBG: New State in India," Krafton was quoted as saying to Sportskeeda.

In a bid to get rid of its ‘Chinese tag’, PUBG Mobile ended its franchise partnership with Chinese company Tenet Games. PUBG Corporation is owned by Krafton.

“We’re hoping to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution,” PUBG Corporation had said after the game was banned in India in September 2020.

Meanwhile, a new company called PUBG India Private Limited has been launched by the makers of PUBG mobile after seeking the approval of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The company, which is a subsidiary of Krafton Inc and PUBG Corporation, creator of Player unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), has been registered on the ministry’s website with a valid Corporate Identity Number (CIN). It has a registered office in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
