We have a piece of good news for Apple fans! The tech giant is likely to add a new cellular radio technology to its new iPhone 13 series which is set to launch in September 2021. Popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that iPhone 13 may launch with a low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite communication feature which will help users text or make calls in areas which do not have good connectivity.

In his investor note, Kuo said that the LEO technology will help the iPhone to create satellite-based communication even when it is out of network.

According to a report in India Today, apart from iPhone 13, Apple might include the LEO technology in the rumoured AR headset, Apple Car, and other Internet of Things products.

As of now, it is unclear if Apple will charge its customers for this service.

As for the much-awaited iPhone 13 series, the lineup may mirror the iPhone 12 family of phones, with a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 13, 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. The device is said to be powered by Apple's next-generation A15 chip manufactured based on TSMC's 5nm+ process.

The entire iPhone 13 range is also expected to sport the LiDAR sensor. The sensor first appeared in the latest generation iPad Pro in March this year followed by the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. In addition to the new and exciting launch, the Cupertino-based tech giant will also increase the price of the upcoming iPhones to compensate for rising chip production costs.

As per the report, Apple will bring a 3-5 percent hike in iPhone 13 prices due to these changes as TSMC's advanced sub-7nm process technologies quotes may rise by 3-10 percent.
