Apple has released an update on its 12-inch Retina MacBook line featuring better overall performance and a Rose Gold color option.

The new device boasts better battery life, Skylake processors, the same keyboard and thin design.

The color addition puts the new MacBooks on par with Apple's iOS devices in terms of color options--now all available in Space Grey, Gold, Silver and Rose Gold.

The Retina MacBook, which was introduced one year ago, has a 12-inch Retina display, a full-size keyboard, Force Touch trackpad, USB-C port and is now capable of up to 10 hours of wireless browsing or 11 hours of movie playback. The notebook weighs in at 0.9 Kg and is 13.1 mm thin.

The new MacBooks are now available in two configurations: for Rs 1,06,900, it comes with a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.2GHz, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage and a 1.1GHz processor. The Rs 1,29,900 version comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core m5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.7 GHz, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. There is also a configure-to-order option that includes a 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core m7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1GHz.
