Amazon finally brings its all-new Kindle Paperwhite to the Indian market.

The WiFi only version is being sold for 10,999 rupees, while the 3G model is retailing for 13,999 rupees.

 Amazon had unveiled the product in September last year.

Pre-orders for the product begin today. Shipping will only begin on February 4. Meanwhile, the company has already stopped the sale of the older version on Paperwhite on the India website.

The India website was launched last year in June entering the already booming e-commerce market in the country.

The new Kindle Paperwhite will also be available offline across 250 retail outlets across India starting February 4 including Croma, Reliance Digital, E-Zone, UniverCell and Vijay Sales stores located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Pune.

What's new? The e-reader boasts of some new features such as Kindle Page Flip in-line footnotes, Freetime and Vocabulary Builder. The e-reader now also offers Facebook and Twitter integration for sharing recommendations, highlighted sections and quotes.

Amazon claims that the new Kindle comes with a 25% faster processor that help books open and pages turn faster for a seamless reading experience. New touch technology and 19% tighter touch grid makes Kindle Paperwhite respond more accurately to the smallest touches.
