The support of Adobe Flash Player on MS Edge and Internet Explorer11 ended with 2020 as the announcement was made earlier in advance by Microsoft.
The end is officially here for Adobe flash as previously announced. Adobe has confirmed that it will no longer provide support for Flash Player after 31 December 2020 and it will block all the flash content from running in Flash player.
Way back in 2017, Adobe had announced its plan to drop the support of flash player and said to stop updating and distributing Flash player after December 31, 2020, due to the diminished usage of and the availability of better more secure options such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly.

In order to run an internal business system, some enterprise customers may still need Flash Player commercial support and licensing beyond 2020.
The internet archive is protecting and preserving Flash games and animations including ‘Peanut Butter Jelly Time’, says media reports.
Adobe said in last month update that, “We want to take a moment to thank all our customers and developers who have used and created amazing Flash Player content over the last two decades.
“We are proud that Flash had a crucial role in evolving web content across animation, interactively, audio, and video". we are excited to help lead the next era of digital experiences.”
All the users were recommended by adobe to immediately install the flash player to help protect their system.
Flash has been a huge part of web history, and that probably explains why it lasted as long as it did even after being outdated. Browsers started showing Flash the door early in the last decade, and in 2015 Adobe asked developers to move on to HTML5. Things became official in 2017, when Adobe announced it would end support.
