The car, for the first time, includes a touchscreen that also features gesture control for taking charge of the various infotainment features. Swipe your hand in front of it and you can reject calls, poke toward the screen to accept, or rotate your finger to increase or decrease volume. Apart from the Sport, Comfort and EcoPro modes, a new drive system call Adaptive monitors and learns the driver’s unique style and road conditions. The car’s new drivetrain can also select its gear change strategy based on navigation data--so the car knows beforehand how to react to upcoming hills, road conditions and more.

The all-new remote key parking can have the car maneuver itself autonomously, with nobody in the driver’s seat, into or out out of a parking spot. This is done via a press of the button on the newly developed BMW Display Key. No more woes with getting into tight parking spots.
