Singapore’s Ong Hock Bee, who’s completely blind has taken on Spain’s Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, a former world champion, and multiple Grand Slam winner. He has played with tennis legend, Andre Agassi too. Hock Bee has come a long way through practice and persistence at Soundball Singapore.

Soundball is tennis especially adapted to the needs of the visually impaired. It is played indoors on a badminton court with special sponge balls that rattle. Soundball Singapore is part of Sports for the Blind.

Along with introducing a new sport, Soundball Singapore has given people whose paths probably wouldn't otherwise cross, an opportunity to connect, learn about each other, and aspire to achieve a shared dream. They want to introduce the sport to many more blind people and are aiming to take them to the Paralympics.

The more support they get, either online or through material contribution, the better the chances of them getting to the Paralympics. So the next time, you watch a Mirza, Paes, Federer or Sharapova play, think about Hock Bee and his friends as well.
