Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be back for the English club somewhere before the end of the year. The Swedish striker is working hard on his recovery from a knee-ligament injury and could be available for some of the busy festive period, if he remains on course.

"Zlatan is here," said Jose during the pre-Huddersfield press conference at the Aon Training Complex. "He's working here and under our control."

"He's working as you would expect - so, so, so hard. But he's not going to be back in the next week or the next couple of weeks. Let him take his time and be back when everybody feels is the right moment. Do I believe he'll be back in 2017? Yes, I do. But it's just a feeling."

Andy Cole, who has spent time with Zlatan in gym recently, told MUTV that he hopes Ibrahimovic will return to the fray over the winter period.

"I had a chat with Zlatan when he was in the gym the other day," said the former Reds striker. "I think he is looking forward to coming back, most probably in December or January time."
