Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the holder of numerous new records and the AC Milan striker now has a new one to his name after he scored in his side's 3-0 win over Cagliari on Saturday (local time).

In the match, the 38-year-old had missed a penalty but afterward managed to find the back of the net in the 55th minute of the match.

With this goal, Zlatan has now become the oldest player in the Serie A history to score 10 or more league goals.

The veteran goal machine broke Silvio Piola's long-standing record which he had set more than 60 years ago.

Going into the final matchday, the former PSG, Manchester United and Barcelona ace had scored seven in nine matches for Milan since the Italian top-flight returned to action in June after the long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Back in July, Ibra had also secured his 50th goal for the Rossoneri against Sampdoria and became the first player to unlock the achievement of scoring 50 or more goals for both Milan outfits.

With this victory, the Rossoneri finished their 2019-20 league campaign in sixth place, having taken 66 points from their 38 matches over the course of the much-interrupted campaign.

However, Zlatan's future is still in the question as the Milan forward's current deal set to have run out after the Cagliari clash.

"I hope that tomorrow will not be Ibrahimovic's last game for Milan," coach Stefano Pioli told reporters when questioned over Ibrahimovic during the post-match press conference.
