Ex-WWE wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known by his ring name ‘The Great Khali’, was badly injured in a sporting event held at Haldwani in Uttarakhand on Wednesday.

According to reports, the "foreign fighters" who were also a part of the event, were held responsible for these injuries as they knocked Khali with chairs and punches.

Khali was participating in the first event of ‘The Great Khali Wrestling Show’ at the Indira Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Gaula Par where he suffered the injuries.

According to a website, Khali was admitted to ICU division of Brijlal Hospital where he will be under observation for the next 24 hours. Khali was crowned the World Heavyweight Champion in 2007.
