The poll found 63.79% of journalists from 54 countries predicting a victory for Spain in their first World Cup final appearance at Soccer City.   The Dutch, who like Spain have never won the World Cup but appeared in the 1974 and 1978 finals, were tipped by 36.21 percent of those voting, the AIPS reported on Saturday.

Spain were also the favourites in a poll conducted by the same organisation before the start of the tournament.
