1) South Africa's win in terms of balls (192) is the biggest ever in any World Cup knock-out match.

2) After Saqlain Mushtaq, JP Duminy is the second spinner to register a hat-trick in World Cup history.

3) The Proteas won for the first time in a World Cup knock-out match, having previously lost on four occassions (1992, 1996, 2007, 2011).

4) It was also the shortest ever World Cup knock-out match (55.2 overs), surpassing the Pakistan-Australia final in 1999 which lasted 59.1 overs.
