Wizards draw first pick in NBA draft, Sixers second, Nets third

Second pick in the draft went to the Philadelphia 76ers (27-55), who had only a 5.3 percent shot at the top pick -- the sixth best odds. The New Jersey Nets, who had the NBA's worst record of 12-70 and the best chance to win the top pick at 25 percent in the lottery, drew the third choice in the June 24 draft which is the primary way that teams add talent.
