Sunday marks the weekly off at Wimbledon and Monday is set to start a week that leads to the finals on the coming weekend. But as the grass court championship heads to the next week former champions Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal have fallen by the way.

Injury has taken a toll and counted for the loss of Victoria Azarenka, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and others who were forced to pull out of the tournament.

Defending ladies' champion Serena Williams is in the pink of form after her French Open win earlier this month and the fact that her rivals Sharapova and Azarenka who were the biggest challenge to her crown are out have boosted her chances for another win at Wimbledon.

Home hope Andy Murray who is looking to emulate Fred Perry and win the Wimbledon title started with a death draw that saw Nadal and Federer in his half, but things are working in his favour as the duo are out and Murray has a relatively clear path to the final.

Laura Robson also makes it to week 2 giving the British crowd something more to cheer for.

World No1 and 2011 champion at Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic is playing really well and will be looking to lift his second Grand Slam title this year after winning the Australian Open against Murray who looks set to face him in the final if all goes to plan.

Like week 1 offered surprises with underdogs taking out champions-Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will not be taking anything for granted as they make their way through the draw with their eyes firmly on the title.
