Disgraced Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King, who served nine months prison term for sexual assault and causing bodily harm, has said that he could soon be back to playing football, after he was released from prison. "I have had time to sit down and analyse the situation, not just that I have put myself in but there are other people who have suffered as well,” Sky News quoted King, as saying. "I will always plead my innocence and I will do and fight this all the way," he added. The 30-year-old player attacked a student in a London nightclub in December 2008, punched her in the face and broke her nose.Despite being sacked from Wigan after his conviction, his agent has said "a number of teams" are already lining up to sign the player.King has been told that he would remain on the Sex Offenders' Register for seven years. However, he is planning to appeal against the conviction.
