Take for instance Madrid and Milan, two cities, two different leagues but four clubs in total. Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in La Liga, while Inter and AC Milan  in the Serie A. Same is the case with Manchester too. A city divided in two, Manchester City and Manchester United.

But when Yaya Toure heard about his transfer from Barcelona to Manchester, the mid-fielder thought it was the Red Devils who wanted him at first.

Despite of having no regrets to play for City, he said that his agent had to tell him it was the team that play in 'blue' and not red who actually approached him.

"To be in this squad that is making history, it’s unbelievable," Toure said as reported by Daily Mail UK. "When I was at Barcelona and initially approached by Manchester City I thought it was Manchester United that wanted me. My agent had to tell me it was the team in the blue shirts."

"At the time, Manchester United were putting Manchester City in the shadows. It was unbelievable. Manchester United is a big club and I respect that club a lot." he added.

Yaya Toure was heavily criticised for his mediocre performance in the semi-final second leg against Real Madrid. To add to that, Toure is also expected to leave the club in this summer as Manuel Pellegrini paves way for Pep Guardiola.
