NAGPUR: The West Indies team led by Brian Lara arrived in Nagpur on Friday for the first one-day match of the four one dayers, against India to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) ground on Sunday.

The West Indies had won the 2001 ODI against India on the same ground soon after its renovation. They had credited the victory partly to the pitch that they rated as top class.

Besides skipper Lara, the team comprises Ian Bradshaw, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Reyaad Emrit, Shivnarine Chandrapaul, Runako Morton, Darren Powell, wicket keeper Dinesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Devon Smith, Jerome Taylor and Dwayne Smith, who replaced an injured Darren Sammy at the last moment.

The team manager is Clive Lloyd and coach is Bennett King.
