Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has said that the players are not afraid for any one including Barcelona, after Javier Hernandez twice to help United reach Champions League last eight.

"We are confident we can win whoever we get in the next round. If you are going to win this tournament you have to play anyone - and beat them," Rooney said.

"It was a tough game, we knew Marseille are a big physical team but we came through and just deserved to in the end," he said.

Rooney set up Hernandez's first goal and confessed he loves his role-playing just behind the Mexican, The Sun reports.

"He's got great movement so I'm playing the position that I did when I started playing professionally. I'm enjoying it and thankfully he's a finisher," Rooney said.

"It's not often forwards get the chance to be on the ball and enjoy playing. I enjoyed tonight," he added.

Boss Alex Ferguson was delighted at how Rooney and Hernandez played as he chalked up his 100th Champions League win - and United's 150th European win.

"Where Wayne has been playing in the past couple of games he is a real threat and enjoying the freedom. He has such power and speed and Hernandez is unbelievable with his movement - the boy has goals in him," Ferguson said.
