Fans on social media are already showing their upset at Pakistan’s first-ever defeat against Afghanistan at the Chepauk Stadium.

Apart from fans, former Pakistani cricketers have also made some stern comments regarding the performances of players in the marquee tournament.

Wasim Akram, a former Pakistani bowler, has lashed out at the Pakistani players and said, “it was embarrassing today.

“Look at their fitness levels, we have constantly been raising our voices for the past three weeks that their has been no fitness test of our players in the last two years.”

He further comments on their diet and says, “it seems they are having 8-8 kilos of karahi and nihari everyday, but there shall be some tests also.”

“Professionally you guys are getting paid, playing for your country and there has to be a certain criteria.”

Akram also draws a major connection between fielding and fitness. “Fielding is all about fitness and that’s where we are lacking,” says the former Pakistani bowler.
