Legendary Indian cricketer Virendra Sehwag inaugurated the second edition of the Goregaon Sports Club Premier Cricket League recently.

Speaking at the occasion Sehwag said, “I am amazed that a sports club in suburban Mumbai has organized a T20 league of such magnitude and magnificence. I am fortunate that I am attending the event and getting an opportunity to encourage such a large number of budding youngsters and passionate cricket lovers of all ages."

In its second edition this year, the league has grown to 8 teams and along with a sub-league, has seen almost 275 cricketers participating. Each team has separate owners and the captains and players were auctioned in the same way as in the Indian Premier League.

"The facilities are world class, the lights comparable to the best in the world and the participation is so motivating. I wish I was playing in one of the eight teams! Wishes to all the teams and participants," added Sehwag.
