INDIANAPOLIS: Italian Jarno Trulli will start the United States Grand Prix here Sunday from the pit-lane after Toyota made illegal changes to his car following qualifying.

Trulli, 31, suffered severe bottoming-out during the opening parts of qualifying on Saturday due to a suspension problem and could only qualify 19th on the grid.

Toyota fixed the damage on Sunday morning, but, as the replacement of suspension parts is not allowed under Parc Ferme rules, Trulli will start from 22nd place in the pit-lane once the rest of the field have got underway.
