Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra's social media value jumps to THIS huge amount

It has been more than a month since the 23-year old Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics in the javelin throw event with a throw of 87.58 metres, which saw him become the first Indian athlete to win an Olympic medal in Track and Field and he has become a phenomenon in the country.

Whether it is a public event, interviews, reality shows, social media, Neeraj Chopra is everywhere after being honoured by various state governments, sports bodies, PR companies, sports franchises and has also been awarded cash prizes and gifts like cars, etc.

Now, according to recent research by YouGov SPORT, a consultancy firm, Chopra's social media value has skyrocketed to a total of INR 428 crores. The amount is a result of a whopping 2.9 million mentions from over 1.4 million users on Instagram globally after Neeraj created history in Tokyo on August 7.

While Neeraj's Instagram handle saw a 2300 percent rise in followers to 4.5 million while total interactions saw an 86.3 percent rise to 12.79 million.

Neeraj Chopra has also increased his brand endorsement fees from INR 20-30 Lakh to 2 crores.
