The two-time Olympic medallist defeated New Zealand's Akash Khullar in the final of the men's 74-kilogram freestyle category.

India’s other wrestler in the same category, Parveen Rana, also won a bronze medal.

Soon after the victory, Sushil took to his Twitter handle and dedicated the win to his coach and motherland.

Sushil won bronze in 2008 Beijing Olympics and then followed it up with a silver in 2012 London Games.

With this win, Sushil clinched his fifth title at the Commonwealth level.
