Sundar perches atop Formula 4

It was yet another Super Saturday for Dark Don Racing’s Ashwin Sundar. The Chennai racer registered two more podium finishes to go atop the table with 86 points in the LGB Formula 4 category of the 15th JK Tyre-FMSCI National Racing Championship.

Starting on pole position having clocked 1:57.303, Sundar held on to his lead from start to finish and emerged victorious in the first race at the suburban MMST track near Sriperumbudur on Saturday.

It was a closer contest in Race 2 that had a reverse-grid formula for the top-four finishers. Sundar had to work his way to a podium finish. Starting fourth, he moved up two places in the very first lap. However, his car suffered from gearbox problems halfway down the 10-lap race forcing him to second place.
