Johannesburg: Swiss tennis ace Stanislas Wawrinka has admitted that he would not be a favourite for the upcoming French Open despite his Monte Carlo Masters title success against compatriot Roger Federer. The Australian Open champion's 4-6, 7-6 (7/5), 6-2 fightback at the Monte Carlo Country Club sealed the first all-Swiss final on the ATP in 14 years and left him with fresh confidence in his big-swinging game. However, sport24 reports that Wawrinka has played down his French Open hopes, saying that sport's 'Big Four'- Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray- will remain in a class of their own, although he believes he can beat 'all the players' on clay if he is playing good tennis and is mentally in a good place. The report mentioned that third-ranked Wawrinka, who won his third title of the year, lost his previous two Masters finals- in Rome in 2008 to Djokovic and last year in Madrid to Nadal.
