Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has extended his contract by two years to 2012, the Spanish soccer federation (RFEF) said on Wednesday.

"It was a unanimous decision by the RFEF's board of directors," federation president Angel Villar said on the RFEF's website. "We have a great coach."

Del Bosque, who turned 59 on Wednesday, took over from Luis Aragones after Spain's triumph at Euro 2008, and led them through qualification for next year's World Cup in South Africa with 10 wins out of 10.
