South Africa's JP Duminy registered the first hat-trick of this year's World Cup in Wednesday's first quarter-final against Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground.The off-spinner dismissed Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews with the final ball of his eighth over and returned to send back Nuwan Kulasekara and Tharindu Kaushal with the first two deliveries of his next to become the first South African to register a World Cup hat-trick.  Currently Sri Lanka are reeling at 127/9. Imran Tahir has also got 3 scalps. Sangakkara (45) has been the only saving grace for Lankans in a largely listless performance.
