The counsel for Shoaib requested the judge for hearing on the application today itself but the judge said it can be heard tomorrow and posted the matter accordingly.

City police had taken away the cricketer's passport on April 5 and asked him not to leave the country after a cheating case was registered against him based on a complaint by a Hyderabadi girl Ayesha Siddiqui whom he subsequently divorced after denying that he had married her.

Shoaib's passport is in the possession of a local court.

After he divorced Ayesha, the Siddiquis submitted an application to the Hyderabad Police to withdraw the case.

The over ten-day drama and controversy surrounding Shoaib ended with his marriage to Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza in Hyderabad on April 12.
