Sania and Hingis won the match 6-4, 7-5 to head into yet another final. They face Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic in the final on Sunday.

In the first set, there were a total of seven service breaks in the 10 games played as both parties looked happy to surrender serve. But eventually, Sania-Hingis held their nerve more often than once, saving 5 of the 8 break points they faced, while breaking the opponents serve 4 times in 6 attempts.

The second set was also decided on fine margins. Lisicki-Safarova put in a much better showing with their serves. The Czech-German pair won 68% of their first serve points, but despite their mightiest of efforts, they couldn't stop the Indo-Swiss pair from breaking their serve thrice to wrap up the match and storm into the final.
