Salgaocar FC appoints Norberto Gonsalves as new coach

Goan giants Salgaocar have appointed Norberto Gonsalves as their new chief coach for the upcoming season.
Having started as an assistant coach with Salgaocar from 1995 2000, Norbert has gone on to coach various clubs around the country over a period of 20 years, a release issued by the club said. Prior to becoming a coach, he was at the heart of the SFC defence for 12 years captaining the team to glory in the 1989 Federation Cup, it added. His experience will be a huge asset to the Greens.
On his appointment, the 58-year-old remarked, "I am really excited about joining Salgaocar as it is my former club as a player and has a great reputation. I am looking forward to the challenge".
