Sachin Tendulkar's tweet sets off speculations of coming out of retirement

Batting legend and Mumbai Indians icon Sachin Tendulkar was upto some strange antics on Saturday, or at least that is what could be surmised.

Tendulkar's Twitter on Saturday posted a picture of him in Mumbai Indians' team attire, holding a helmet as if he were about to wear it. The tweet itself said, "Guess what....?, setting off a storm on social media.

Tendulkar's fans, who number in several millions, believed he was about to make a return to playing cricket, after having retired from all forms of the game in 2013.

However, Sachin's next tweet poured cold water on their hopes.

It is very unlikely that Tendulkar will come out of retirement, but for a few hours, millions of Indians as well as news outlets had got their hopes very, very high.
