Sri Lanka team management has confirmed that Ramith Rambukwella will be replacing batsman Upal Tharanga in the T20 squad playing against England on Tuesday. Milinda Sriwardana, who was on Sri Lanka's World T20 squad, is missing from the team for this lone T20 match at the end of ODI series. There are no changes reported in the rest of the squad that went for the ODIs.

According to espncricinfo.com, Rambukwella has been called on the squad by Sanath Jayasuriya-led selection committee. Rambukwella last played in the T20I in 2013 against New Zealand, taking 1 from 19 in four overs. Suring Rambukwella's selection in the national side, Jayasuriya had been the chief selector . 

Here are some stats to analyse Rambukwella's performance: At 154 with the bat, he averages 18.04, has taken 36 wickets and has an economy rate of 6.71 in the 40 T20 matches he has played. In the eight matches he played at SLC's club-based T20 tournament this year, he took seven wickets and made 141 runs.
