Rafael Nadal on top of his game, serves a double bagel to Sergiy Stakhovsky in Davis Cup clash

When you are on top of your game there's no stopping you and that's exactly what World No2 and US Open champion Rafael Nadal proved on Friday.

The tennis ace who is in red hot form showed no mercy to Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine pounding him 6-0, 6-0, 6-4 to give Spain a notable 2-0 lead.

In the first Davis Cup match for Spain, Fernando Verdasco fought to seal a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 win over Ukrainian No1 Alexandr Dolgopolov.

Ranked 92 in the world Sergiy Stakhovsky got the attention of the tennis world when he beat Roger Federer at Wimbledon in the second round.

Against the newly crowned US Open champion Stakhovsky wasn't going to have his way. Nadal who only four days beat Novak Djokovic in four sets to cap a 22-0 record on hard court looked as fresh as a daisy as he went on with his shots, power and ball chase through the match.

Nadal played some awesome shots and this one left fans and his opponent speechless:

Playing on his favorite surface - clay where he has won a record eight French Open titles, the 27-year-old was clearly sharper and loving every moment.
