'Normalcy resumes, GOAT is back': Fans react as Cristiano Ronaldo scores brace on Man Utd return

The fans waited for it, the world waited for it and they were entertained and how. Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford with Manchester United after 2009 and he scored a spectacular brace to give the home side a 4-1 victory against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

The moment he was named in the starting XI, everyone knew the game was going to be about Ronaldo's second debut with the Red Devils and Ronaldo made it sweeter with a goal in the first half itself.

It was as easy and as simple it could get. In the dying minutes of the first half, Mason Greenwood hit the ball with his left foot towards the goal where the Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman fumbled and Ronaldo had to just push it as Manchester United were 1-0 ahead after the first half.

Newcastle came with an equaliser in the 56th minute but six minutes later, Ronaldo's left foot was at play again as he netted his second goal of the night in the 62nd minute as Old Trafford was up on its feet.

If Ronaldo's brace wasn't enough, Bruno Fernandes' strike in the 80th minute and Jesse Lingard's goal in the extra minute ensured the home side thrashed Newcastle on Ronaldo's return in the Premier League.

Manchester United beat Newcastle by 4-1 as fans felt like he never left and couldn't control their excitement as he returned with the red devils.
