The fourth edition of Premier Badminton League (PBL) is set to commence from December 22 and the stars PV Sindhu and Carolina Marin will lock horns in the opening fixture in Mumbai.

Although the years had not been a great one for the Indian shuttlers until Sindhu finally broke her 'final-jinx' as she clinched her maiden BWF World Tour Final last week by beating Japanese Nozomi Okuhara in the final.

In PBL 2018-19, a total of nine franchises will participate in the tournament, that would last for 23 days. The said franchises are:  Delhi Dashers, Mumbai Rockets, Hyderabad Hunters, Chennai Smashes, Ahmedabad Smash Masters, Awadhe Warriors, Bengaluru Raptors, North Eastern Warriors and Pune 7 Aces.
