Seven time world champion Pankaj Advani became the first cueist to win five Asian Titles after he defeated Thawat Sujaritthuarkarn of Thailand, six games to three in the final of the Asian Billiards Championship in Goa.

Advani had a slow start and was 1-2 down before leveling scores and finally winning the tournament, 6 games to 3. Pankaj scored four century breaks through the course of the finals to pocket this historical win.

Advani had earlier won the Asian Billiards Championships in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He now proceeds to Doha for  the Asia Snooker Championships that start on April 22.
