Steenkamp was shot in the head, arm and hip by Pistorius, who claimed that he mistook her for an intruder, at his luxurious home in Johannesburg, South Africa on Valentine's Day this year.

According to the Mirror, Pistorius will face two charges of firing a gun in a public space, which allegedly took place prior to February's fatal shooting and will form part of the prosecution's overall case against the Blade Runner.

South African media have reported one previous incident in which Pistorius allegedly fired a gun at a restaurant and another alleged incident in which he fired shots through a car sunroof while in the company of a former girlfriend.

The trial is scheduled to begin on March 3, the report added.
