The decision comes after Juve got knocked out by Lyon in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 last night.

The Turin club took to Twitter to announce the sacking.

"Juventus Football Club announces that Maurizio Sarri has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team," Juve's official statement read.

"The club would like to thank the coach for having written a new page in Juventus' history with the victory of the ninth-consecutive championship, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the divisions of Italian football," the statement further added.

As per the latest rumors, Juve is considering current Lazio manager and former AC Milan forward Simone Inzaghi as their next manager for the upcoming season.
