Octozone: Rajasthan Royals could go all the way in CL T20

An Indian franchise definitely has a chance to win the 2013 Champions League T20.

Contrary to popular belief, Chennai Super Kings MS Dhoni will find it difficult to win another big-ticket tournament. Rohit Sharma, who led the Mumbai Indians to glory in IPL 6, won’t be able to replicate his success so soon.

Shikhar Dhawan is an exciting batsman and leader but he will get his chance in future. For the moment, the Sunrisers Hyderabad are not astrologically strong enough to win such a big event. Rahul Dravid, in charge of the Rajasthan Royals, never won a major multi-nation tournament during his days as India skipper.

However, he definitely has a good horoscope. And  the Royals are the only India team with a serious chance of winning the inter-club tournament.

Otago Volts captain Brendon McCullum, Titans skipper Henry Davids and Lions leader Alviro Petersen were all born in either 1980 or 1981. Each of them has Uranus and Planet Y in exaltation. They also have astrologically well-balanced squads and look good to go all the way.

Brisbane Heat have a good captain in James Hopes and the Aussie side could be labelled the dark horses. Simon Katich has already won this tournament, so that’s that.

Trinidad and Tobago have a good squad, but captain Denesh Ramdin doesn’t have the horoscope to win a tournament of this magnitude. So it could well be Rajasthan, followed by Otago, Titans or Lions. Brisbane, too, have a chance, but there is no way Chennai, Mumbai or Hyderabad are winning this time.

Talking about the retiring legends, Rahul Dravid definitely has a bigger chance of bowing out in style than Sachin Tendulkar.
