Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra created history by becoming only Indian to claim gold medal in track and field event at the prestigious event. 

Neeraj Chopra is without doubt become one of the most popular athletes in India and his brand value has now increased by about 1000 per cent as corporates are queueing up to make him their brand ambassador.

According to JSW, who manage Neeraj Chopra’s public relations account and represent the Indian javelin star, Neeraj's endorsement fees has jumped by around 10 times. “The increase in brand value of Neeraj Chopra is due to his non-cricketing achievements. Apart from this he is also lined up to sign five-six deals with luxury auto and apparel brand in the next few weeks,” a JSW official was quoted as saying by Dainik Bhaskar.

Neeraj Chopra has already inked deals with Byju’s, Tata AIA Life Insurance and a top pharmaceutical firm. He is also the brand ambassador of Gillete, Exon Mobile and Muscle Blaze.

The brand endorsement fees of Neeraj Chopra for a year is now expected to be around Rs 2.5 crore per year which means that he is now as big a star as top Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. Kohli earns between Rs 1 to 5 crore per year. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul’s fees are in the range of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore per year.
