The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed forward Tim Thomas, the team said on Wednesday on their website (nba.commavericks).                                            The 33-year-old played in 18 games last season before leaving the team to be with his wife, who was battling illness.

The one-year deal is worth minimum $1.35 million, the Dallas Morning News reported.                                            Entering his 14th season, Thomas has career averages of 11.5 points per game and 4.1 rebounds.
